This week we were here there and everywhere. We did a VRT demo here locally working in some chicken litter next to a Case IH tillage tool. It is not very often we can work in a demo in August, but we demo every chance we get. Cody and I traveled to Madison Wisconsin for the Dealer Minds Ssummit put on by Lessiter Media. A meeting where dealers from around the country gather to share thoughts, ideas and struggles to help navigate the constant change and necessary improvements within the dealership. We got back to a busy shop. We built a 30’ Salford Cultivator this week that will find its new home soon in Pandora, OH and sit in the shed next to a Salford 1231 with a Valmar seeder. Once a customer sees the quality and reliability of the Salford tools, it is hard to go with a different color. Our county fair began this week so we will spend time at the junior shows, concerts, and activities there supporting the local youth. Check out the new podcast below we recorded while in Madison, a great episode that covers a lot. Keep your eyes open for a future field day update. We plan to hold a strip till field day in late September with a strong focus on strip tillage and fertilizer banding. We see a strong demand for strip tillage and want to help our customers make the right decisions. Stay tuned for more details on that. This 30' Salford 2 piece cultivator was built in the shop this week and will be delivered soon to Pandora, Ohio.
This is the framework of a corn head seeder that will be going onto a 12 row head to seed cover crops while harvesting.
We had this Top Air sprayer in the shop this week to get new plumbing added to it.
We will have a tender trailer on display at the Ohio Farm Science Review, this is the framework for the tanks that will be on the trailer.Used Items This Week
This week we have a used 27'6" John Deere 2720 Disk Chisel. This unit works great to incorporate stalks in the fall and do some deep tillage. Unit will be at our Celina location next week.
