We had a great field day yesterday! Great weather, great crowd, good food and ice cream! Thank you to everyone who came to the field and lunch. We had a great time meeting with customers and talking ideas that could be used on your operation. Next Friday we will be having our Deutz Fahr tractor field day. So for those interested, be sure to sign up and attend that one as well. For the most part wheat harvest is over, much of the straw is baled and double crops have been in. We have a lot of Salford tools that need assembled. That will be a priority from now until early September to get them ready for Spring. If you noticed, at the field day, we had several Salford Company reps there from Iowa, Georgia, and Illinois. The guys that develop products and service the products came to Ohio to see us, and that means a lot. We have been fortunate to work with a company that offers the support that they do and it was nice to see all of them there for us yesterday.

A New Venture Ahead: Deutz Tractors
Join us as we sit down with The Deutz Crew, Mike Less and Andrew Winkels. This is a big venture for us. We have never handled anything with an engine or a DEF system. We have grown to the point to where we have the shop and the guys to handle more and more large projects.
The Salford 2200 With Shanks, As versatile As It Gets
If you were at the field day, you saw the 2200 running with the seeder on it, and it seemed to be the most talked about tool there after we ran it. Remember we did seed that wheat with that tool using the Valmar 4056 seeder on it at a rate of 135 total lbs and got some really good wheat off of that. What the shanks add to the mix is very impressive, a tool that with the push of a hydraulic lever can now to tillage up to 8" of depth. This is handy on end rows, high traffic areas, or anywhere water may tend to lay. Here are a few videos we have done of this tool.

This week we have a used Valmar 2455 cover crop seeder. This unit is equipped with a 3 point mount bracket and a scale-tec scale system. This unit holds around 2000 lbs of product and is ground driven metering with a contact wheel. This unit will be located at our shop soon and is priced at $12,500.
