As we approach the halfway mark of what feels like the shortest month of the year, we are swamped with shop projects and installations. We are confident we can get it all done, but this time of the year we are always stretched. Luckily we have a lot of inventory in stock, row cleaners, closing wheels, liquid applicators, toolbars, tillage tools and more. Equipment is hard to come by, especially if you want to do planter installations, be sure to check on availability of product now before ordering. Sunshine made a huge difference on everything this week with highs in the 60s for a few consecutive days. Next week will be a big one. Stay tuned! Be sure to watch for videos posted on our YouTube Channel.

Strip Till, Is It For You?
Strip tillage has changed a lot in the past 3 years. New bars, new units and new ideas. The two types of strip tillage is the deep placement with a shank or knife system going 5-8" deep breaking compaction and placing fertilizer. This is typically a spring pass and the benefits are: break compaction, mellow clean seedbed, and deep fertilizer placement. The freshener or coulter style is designed to go up to 4" deep. Low horsepower, high speed, and is a great spring pass to air out, and create seedbeds. We feel strip tillage is a perfect mix between full conventional and no till. Using Valmar to Meter All Things Dry
Whether it is dry fertilizer, pelletized chicken litter, cover crops, wheat, soybeans, you name it, it can be accurately metered with a Valmar. Use the ST series for higher rates of fertilizer, and the 56 series for cover crops, micro fertilizer blends and small seeds. The accurate venturi metering system is reliable and trouble free.
