We are wet in western Ohio. Yesterday we had around 1" of rain at the shop, and a few places locally got almost double that. A lot of corn and beans were planted in the last 7 days, and now it will for sure be into June. Next week shows hot weather so hopefully a dry down, but I wonder about the crops already planted but not up yet. Hopefully a crust is not baked on top.
We are out of rotary hoes! Jim Boak always said a Salford tool set shallow works better than a rotary hoe does. We got the first few sidedress bars running for the year this week. The corn was just west of our shop and was planted April 20th.
