September is here already! Up until now, we have had green grass and adequate rain fall, but this could be the turning point. The 10 day shows heat with little chances of rain. It could turn fast. We have seen a few guys chopping silage with a lot more circling next week on the calendar. Cody and I made it to Decatur, Illinois for the Farm Progress show on Tuesday. That is a great outdoor show to visit, a lot of vendors and it is such a large area that you have room to walk around. We have been busy assembling Salford tillage tools lately. In the past week, we finished 3 of them and 2 of those will be delivered by Tuesday. Farm Science Review is only 2 1/2 weeks away now so it won't be long, and we will be hauling equipment down that way.

Adding Scales to Your Grain Cart
Adding scales to various implements is something we have gotten into more and more lately, and we feel they can bring a ton of value especially on a grain cart. The newest system we have installed is Harvestmate from Scale-Tec. This is a recording system that reads the PTO shaft to know when you unload the grain cart and records that data on an iPad. This week we have a used 2018 Salford 2141 VT Tool. This unit has like new blades on the 5 bolt hub and bearing design, 3 Bar coil tine harrow and 14" rolling basket.
