The calendar says go, the temperature says no. Most corn planters sat idle this week as we approach the white flag on the 2021 planting season. Several soybeans have been planted, and they tend to survive and thrive once we get out of this colder slump. Here in Coldwater, we had more rain than most on Sunday last week, but we are starting to dry out again. This week we were out working on planters, fertilizer spreaders, and getting side dress applicators ready to go for the 2021 season. From The Assembly Line To Our Shop, A New Kinze Gets Even Better
This week a new 4905 16 row Kinze planter arrived at our shop to get in furrow fertilizer, row cleaners, and a few other improvements to an already impressive machine. Kinze has stepped up their game and this planter, equipped with hydraulic downforce, speed tubes, automatic weight transfer, is a very nice unit. Soon this planter will be covering acres and can do so extremely efficiently, capable of planting at 12 mph. Watch the video below to learn more.
