Harvest is pretty much in full swing in many areas, beans are dry, corn is fairly dry as well. It is definitely interesting being this deep into harvest before October 1. Hopefully that means crops come out easy and with minimal weather delays. For us, what a week we have had. I mentioned last week we were super busy in the shop, and though that hasn't changed, we are certainly further along today than we imagined. We did startups this week on a 40' Halo VRT, a 25' Salford 5200, installed a Valmar on a Salford headed for Illinois, installed 2 seeders on strip till bars, shipped an air boom machine to Iowa State university, and got dozens of customers up and running over the phone with Valmar seeders. We do still have some tillage tools to assemble before fall is over, so we are not yet over the hump. Tuesday we hosted a Strip Till Demo Day, and despite some rain prior, we had a great turnout and great row unit performance. We had customers from Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan come down to see what we had to offer. A lot going on right now and rain in the forecast, but we have a lot of fall left to go. There's still plenty of time for demos and to make strip-till and fall cover crop seeding decisions.
We uploaded a lot of good videos this week, be sure to tune into our YouTube Channel. Have a great weekend, and feel free to call 419-942-3512.
We added the Valmar 6056 Seeder to this strip-till bar. See it in the video below.
The Talkin' Shed Podcast by Fennig Equipment
Farm Science Review and Triple Seeder TripIn this episode, we talk about the Ohio Farm Science Review and our big trip west to install three Valmar seeders on various tillage tools. Cody and the shop guys stepped up big in this one to get these installs done, and in record time!
Salford 5200, The King of Fall Incorporation
Though we tout a lot of Salford tools as being able to do it all, no tool, no matter the color, can match what a Salford 5200 Enforcer can do. The most aggressive tool in the lineup, all independent blades, no shanks. It mixes, stirs, cuts, and buries everything on the top 5-8" of soil profile, but what is most impressive is how well it finished being this aggressive. Check out the videos below, and give us a call at 419-942-3512 to get a demo on your farm.
